Kidsgrove Mayor and Staffordshire SANDS

As you may know the Still Birth and Neonatal Death charity Staffordshire SANDS is something very close to the hearts of Gordon and Laura, the couple behind Cards And Candles For All Occasions as we have suffered the loss of our babies ourselves and know how much support is needed at what is a very traumatic time for families.

Gordon and Laura are on the committee of our local Staffordshire SANDS and we have promised we will do all that we can to raise funds and awareness for this very special and important charity.

On Thursday 16th May 2013, we were invited to attend an event in Kidsgrove along with our fellow SANDS committee members to share in the celebrations of the Mayor of Kidsgrove’s appointment to Kyle Robinson. At the event Kyle kindly announced that Staffordshire SANDS has been chosen as his charity of the year during his 2013/14 term as Kidsgrove Mayor. This will raise funds for the charity and also help us raise crucial awareness.

The evening was a great opportunity to get to know other businesses and members of the local community as well as raising SANDS profile in a more relaxed atmosphere… a very successful evening.

Here are some of the SANDS committee members with Councillor Kyle Robinson (Mayor) on the evening of 16th May 2013:

  1. I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s equally educative
and interesting, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is an issue that too few people are speaking intelligently about.

I’m very happy I came across this in my hunt for something relating to this.
