Oh my goodness, how did we get to 2nd March already? What happened to January and February? It’s madness the year seems to be whizzing by and we’re still not too organised lol. I did intend to write this blog post last night but with one thing and another that just didn’t seem to happen so here I am. A bit of a round up of the year so far, the plans for this month, etc and anything else I think of.
We got up yesterday morning bright and early to glorious sunshine, t was even warm enough to go out without a jacket!! Very welcome weather after all of the snow we’ve had over the last few weeks so a great start to March I think we’ll all agree.
Over the last few months I’ve been buying lots of craft materials so we can really work on expanding our stock ranges this year so storage has been proving to be a big issue, so our first plan for yesterday was a trip to Wilkinsons for yet another set of A4 storage drawers – I was quite impressed as they had a set of six drawers on special offer at £10… one set would surely be enough!!
Next we jumped in the car and headed off to Warrington to visit the lovely Wendy at 1st Unique Gifts… this was the first time we’d met Wendy though we’d spoke loads on the internet via the Crafts Forum and Twitter, but we were made to feel very welcome… she’s lovely!!
While Gord set to work in Wendy’s garden chopping up some logs, etc to bring home for some new ideas he has in the pipeline I was shown around Wendy’s studio then we settled down on the sofa for a good old chat… it was a lovely afternoon, very relaxed and great to catch up!! Also found out Wendy will be at the same craft fair as us on Saturday 13th March 2010 at:
Mothers Day Craft Market
Ivy Church Centre
Barlow Moor Road
While we were visiting 1st Unique Gifts I also collected a couple of handpainted decorative pieces for our craft room, the first being a fab door plaque and also a fantastic chalkboard – both gorgeous pieces!! Also collected another ‘item’ but as that’s for Gord’s birthday on 24th April, I can’t really talk about that just now lol.
We came home then set about sorting the craft room… four out of six of the new storage drawers are full of rubber wood-mounted stamps!! lol… the other two drawers are already full too, so today’s plan is another trip to Wilkinsons for another set of drawers while they are still on special offer 🙂
So all in all, so far this year we’ve done lots of crafty shopping, sorted some new storage, been to visit 1st Unique Gifts, purchased a fan-tabulous Cricut Expression and started a few new ranges. Now we’re working on stock for our forthcomng craft fairs so here at Cards & Candles For All Occasions it’s all go go go!!
And with only ten days until Mothers Day, we’re working on lots of cards for then too… why not have a look at our online Misi store to purchase a fab card or candle for your mum, here’s the clickable link ‘MISI’
Have a fab day in the sunshine!! Thanks for reading.
