2010 is here…

Happy New Year to all of our customers, past and present, to all of our blog followers and lovely friends.

We are now back and now preparing our new crafts ranges for the year ahead, while updating our website and webstores with our current products… greetings cards, keepsake cards, candles, crochet baby blankets and papercraft gifts – all of which are handcrafted by ourselves.

We had a lovely winter break in Scotland where we visited family and friends and had some much needed rest, relaxation and retail therapy… lots of sale shopping, lots of bargains and lots of new crafty gadgets have been ordered!!

The wonderful >Sizzix< website have a fabulous 85% off sale at the moment so needless to say I’ve put in a huge order with lots of bargains including Sizzlits, Bigz Dies and Originals Dies and some Texture plates for the wonderful new Texture Boutique that I’ve ordered too:

Our weather here is cold, icy and snowy… very picturesque but also very slippy and slidy if you don’t watch where you step. Definitely picture postcard weather – and our dogs LOVE playing in the snow… I’m not so keen though as I’ve a tendancy to spend my time falling over lol!!!

This year we have lots of plans for our crafting which include branching out from papercrafts and candles to experiment with beaded keyrings, phone charms and such like as well as a new range of dreamcatchers and expanding our crochet ranges.

We are in the process of booking/enquiring about events for the 2010 Craft Fairs season, though at the moment the only event we are booked for is the Medieval Market and Fair at Tutbury Castle on 30th and 31st October 2009… this is looking to be a fantastic event so hope you can make it along to see us and all of the other attractions:

The basic concept is to stage a first class annual Medieval-themed Market with entertainment and side shows in the superb setting of Tutbury Castle. With a Halloween Party on Saturday night!!! Tutbury is well located between Stoke and Derby, just a few miles off the A50 trunk road.

You can browse the Tutbury Castle website >HERE<.

Today we have been introduced to “Wordless Wednesday” blog postings by fellow crafter Prem2Pram so this is something new for all our blog followers to watch out for which we’ll be starting on Wednesday 13th January 2010.

What is Wordless Wednesday? On Wednesdays all over the internet, bloggers post a photograph with no words to explain it on their blog. Hence the ‘wordless’ title. The idea is that the photo itself says so much that it doesn’t need any description.

Well, that’s enough of my ramblings for one evening… I have three cards orders to complete and a baby blanket to do some more work on so I’ll log off for tonight by wishing you all a safe, warm and successful 2010.

Many thanks for reading,

Laura & Gordon xxx
