Spiritual & Handcrafted Craft Fair

Sunday 29th March 2009

Doors open to public: 10:30am until 5:00pm

Location: Weston Coyney Village Hall, Princess Drive, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ST3 6NQ

This event is being organised by Spellestial who are a relatively new, small yet exciting retail shop offering gifts and clothing plus esoteric and exotic, high quality yet low priced wicca, gothic, feng shui, dragons, fairies, angels, bath products and much more to a wide variety of customers throughout the local area. The shop, which is located in Longton (Stoke-on-trent), was set up in 2008 and is relatively new in the gothic and alternative gifts business. Spellestial is a family orientated and based company that believes customer service is as important as the quality of the goods that the shop sells.

The shop supplies a wide range of gifts and alternative clothing and accessories that are handcrafted either by fair trade or local artists and crafts persons and the aim is to sell high quality goods at prices most people can afford. The products are all supplied with a welcoming and personal polite touch where the customer comes first, making them just right for a wide range of customers of all ages, and incomes… Spellestial together with a group of local crafters are looking to carry this theory on throughout their upcoming Spiritual and Handcrafted Craft Fairs.

There will be a large selection of quality items available at this event including crystals, books and CD’s, bath bombs and shower luxuries, Florist stall, handcrafted candle stall, handcrafted greetings and keepsake card stall, tarot readings and aura photography and many more. As well as many more exciting things for children.

This event will be raising funds for the Donna Louise Trust Charity and as such, we are asking a minimal admission fee of 50p per adult with children under twelve being admitted free.

There will be hot and cold refreshments available throughout the day.

Not Enough Hours In The Day!!! lol

Good morning all, here we are at 3:30am on Friday morning and feeling very wide awake, although a bit frazzled after a hectic week. Emotions and anxieties have been running high this week and I haven’t really been online all that much, we’ve had quite a few things to sort out and hubby and I have been spending more time together, just relaxing and taking things easy… valuing the time we spend with each other.

This week we have completed and delivered our order for Spellestial and they have also placed another relatively big candle order which is going to be keeping Gord busy for a while. The order that they had delivered this week included some Mother’s Day cards, which you can see on our website on the Exclusive Range page… I’m really enjoying doing the cards for Spellestial as they are something different from I normally do so they are getting the old grey matter working and helping me to come up with new ideas.

Mothers Day

This week I’ve also had an order for a couple of bookatrix keepsake cards which I’m working on at the moment and we have booked a craft fair for 29th March 2009 in Stoke-on-Trent… it is being run by Spellestial and is exclusively for crafters who supply their shop so we’re hoping that this will be a success and hopefully the first of many. We have a meeting with Spellestial and the other stall holders today so hopefully we’ll be able to update more details later.

At the moment I’m working on some new ideas for cards for the website and general craft fairs as well as some more ideas for Spellestial for their gothic, pagan, wiccan and spiritual range so I have plenty to be keeping me busy and lots of ideas floating around my head for new projects, including a project which involves fabric and textiles although I need to get hold of a relatively cheap and compact sewing machines for this!!

At some point throughout 2009 I also want to revamp my dolls house which dad brought down for me when he visitted at Christmas… dad originally built it for me 20+years ago and it is in desperate need of decorating and modernising after having been stored in the garage so that’s something else on my ‘to do’ list as well as getting some more acrylic and water colour paintings done… I got all of my painting supplies last year and haven’t done any painting or drawing for ages, so many things to do and ideas that there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day!! lol

This weekend I don’t think we’ll get much in the way of crafting done as we have a 21st birthday party on Saturday night and Monday 23rd February marks the second anniversary of my Mum passing away which I am not sure what we will be doing, but hubby and I want to spend the day together remembering the good times, all going well the weather will be half decent and if nothing else we’ll take the dogs out for a long walk and just spend time reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future.

Well, I will leave it here for now and will no doubt be back soon with some more new items… and I’ll try to keep up with the positivity and not bore you with my ‘off days’ lol ;-)

New Cards – 9th February 2009

Well, today has been fairly productive so far and I’ve made a few new cards for Valentines day, Mothers day, Fathers day, Easter and Birthdays… quite happy with that considering my craftiness has been lacking lately!!

Our new designs can be viewed on our website at Cards and Candles For All Occasions – New Products

I’ve also just finished my first card using the Glitter Girls Open Hearts board, this is for a Valentines order and I’m reasonably happy with how it’s turned out.

All feedback is appreciated :-)

Pop Up Cards

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on some new card ideas and come up with a couple of pop up birthday cards… both quite girly but I’m hoping to get some others made soon too.

Fairy Castle

Little Mermaid

Today is going to see the start of our new Mothers Day ranges and finishing off a couple of Valentines cards for orders, which will hopefully be uploaded later.

New Range Of Cards

It’s been a busy start to the month here, first of all with getting my craft room set up and organised… it took a lot of sorting but now I know exactly what I’ve got and everything has it’s own (labelled) place so in theory everything should be really easy to find. I just wonder how long I’ll be able to keep it this tidy for?

Crafty Space - Organised

I was recently asked if I could produce a range of cards suitable for Wiccan, Pagan, Gothic and Spiritual tastes so have been working on these, the first ones have been a Valentines Day range and are available at Spellestial’s shop in Longton, Stoke on Trent… this range will be growing soon to include Mothers Day and all other occasions that we currently cater for. Spellestial is a new shop to our area and is owned and run by Dru Hughes, who is looking to stock products solely produced by local crafters within the Staffordshire area. Spellestial are currently stocking a range of our greetings cards and candles.

All feedback is greatly appreciated as to be able to improve this range, we really need to hear your views. Thanks for looking :-)
